OBIS Products Catalog

The OBIS Products Catalog is a metadata catalog for discovering data products built from data mediated by the Ocean Biodiversity Information System (OBIS), such as datasets, software, publications, maps, dashboards, and training materials. It is not a data repository: it stores metadata and links to products held in repositories such as Zenodo. Each product is linked to OBIS nodes and OceanExpert institutions, and exported as ODIS-compliant Schema.org JSON-LD for discovery through the Ocean Data and Information System (ODIS).

This archive contains the source code and configuration for the catalog: a CKAN 2.11 deployment (Docker Compose with PostgreSQL, Solr, Redis, and Nginx), custom CKAN extensions for the OBIS theme, product schema, DOI import, JSON-LD export, ORCID login, and cross-node editing, plus the documentation. It also contains the catalog manifest (catalog_whitelist.csv), a list of every product in the catalog at the time of the release.

The catalog is live at products.obis.org, with documentation at iobis.github.io/obis-products-catalog. It is developed and maintained by the OBIS Products Coordination Group.
